Frequently Asked Questions...

It is important to me that every cake, cupcake or dessert is an edible piece of art. Therefore, I take a limited number of orders each week to ensure quality. As a result my calendar does fill up quickly, especially between May and October, and around holidays.

Do you do weddings?
We no longer offer full service weddings. Our focus shifted during the pandemic, and we now only offer baked goods for delivery Monday-Friday or Pick-up Monday – Saturday.
How far in advance do I need to place my order?

As soon as possible! You can reserve a date up to 12 months ahead of time. We recommend contacting us at least 3-6 months prior to large events and for all other occasions we recommend 2-3 weeks lead time. We will accept last minute orders whenever possible. Please note that orders are taken on a first paid basis. All orders are subject to date availability.

Where do I begin?

All custom orders begin by requesting a quote. Details we will need are the event date, location, time, and servings needed. It is also very helpful if you can provide pictures of what you are looking for. With this information we will be able to give you a base price. We will then contact you with your quote in the way you indicate on the form (text, email, call).

Do you offer Tastings?

We do not offer tastings.

Booking Deposit

For orders over $200, a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to secure your order and hold your date. The remainder is due 30 days before the event.

For orders under $200, or events happening in under 30 days, full payment is required at the time of ordering to book your date.

What if I need to change the size of my order?

We understand that sometime the size of an order needs to be changed.  You are allowed to reduce your order up to 25% until 30 days before your event. After that, no changes may be made.

For events happening in under 30 days, no changes may be made.

Do I need to get all of my desserts for my event from you?

If we do any part, we prefer to be exclusive in all categories that we cover. If we do not make something that you want to have, you are welcome to order it from somewhere else. We may even be able to refer you to someone who does.

Are you licensed?

No. WI state law no longer requires it. For more information on WI state law regarding licensing, click here.

Laura’s Baking Delights is insured, and often that is enough for venues, so check with them. I can provide proof of insurance if needed.

Delivery / Pick-up

We deliver Monday-Friday. Due to the nature of what we make, delivery cannot be a surprise. We need to be able to contact the receiver and arrange a delivery time. Especially when we are delivering to locked buildings. We promise not to tell them what they are getting, just that we have a delivery for them. Please make sure they know something is coming.
